What was the challenge?
The South Holland down-to-earth tone is immediately set in the conversation with Martinus, Operational Coordinator of DT Hydraulics: "Yes you know, quality management is not our hobby. We just have to sell hydraulic systems, so we mainly want to be busy with our customers."
Working with a digital QMS is primarily motivated by the fact that DT Hydraulics' customers demand a demonstrable level of quality. Martinus became mister ISO2HANDLE after the consulting firm that originally operated the system quit.
The software was not actively used by DT Hydraulics at that time. In just under six months, Martinus rebuilt the system from scratch and prepared it for a first ISO9001 audit. That audit went perfectly and the comments from the audit are now being processed in the system so that DT Hydraulics will soon be ready for certification.
DT Hydraulics meets that level with its ISO9001 and VCA+ certification. In the meantime, as the conversation progressed, a pretty complete digital system appeared to have been built up, which already supported the first ISO9001 audit well.
DT Hydraulics was founded in 2014 by Dik Terlouw. Who could not find his niche in the limitations of the larger organization where he worked and therefore started for himself again. The company now exists for more than 10 years and has grown into a close-knit club of engineers, who do assignments, especially in heavier hydraulics, at home and abroad.
