What did that choice accomplish?
In a relatively short time, Van Santvoort Bouw has rigged up a well-functioning system, with which the company is compliant with all requirements from ISO9001 and VCA, according to Köhler.
The system is used for various forms of registration, including incidents, near incidents and hazardous situations. But it is also used to record workplace inspections, toolbox meetings, supplier reviews, action item registration, improvement suggestions and customer satisfaction measurements. Many of the registrations generate action lists, which make it easier to follow up on items.
An additional benefit, Köhler says is that audits run much more smoothly and efficiently than before. Auditors get their own auditor login to the system and can better prepare for an audit. Without exception, they are impressed with the clarity of completeness of the documentation and the ease of use of ISO2HANDLE.
Important information is now easier for everyone in the company to find. The registrations and the way in which the follow-up is organized save a considerable amount of time. Moreover, this follow-up is more structured and consistent than before, giving the concept of "continuous improvement" much more substance.
How easy was it to set up ISO2HANDLE?
Setting up the system itself was actually quite easy, according to Köhler. But it did take some time before we could start setting it up. That was because the introduction of a new system was also felt to be a good time to take another look at all the processes and tighten them up.
So in that sense, the introduction was also the kickoff of a new phase, says Köhler. We thought a new system with up-to-date processes was a great new start. With this new system with its up-to-date content, we confidently enter a future in which we can continue to fulfill our promises of customer centricity and continuous improvement.
